Welcome to the new official website for the funky Meters. The funky
Meters CD, 'Fiyo at the Fillmore', recorded live at the world famous
Fillmore Auditorium in San Francisco, is now available nationally through
Too Funky Records and Fuel 2000 Records. The CD now contains the additional
track, 'Too Funky', which was recorded during a jam session at George's
home studio. You can now purchase the CD at a local music store near
you, or online through the merchandise
page.
The funky Meters website is now your one stop website for all the news
and happenings on the funky Meters. Check out a sample of 'Too Funky'
in the audio page, view pictures from many of the funky Meters live
performances, purchase t-shirts, caps and CD's through the merch page
or join in on the message board and give us your feedback. The guys
frequent the message board often, so if you ever have any questions
or just want to say hello, be sure to drop the guys a line...

funky METERS will be joining Kenny Wayne Shepard, Bettye LaVette, Johnny Winter and more to celebrate Labor Day down in Long Beach this year! Check it out ya'll.
funky METERS will be making the journey to Japan for Fuji Rock Festival from July 24-26th. Art will also be playing with The Neville Brothers at the fest. We will also be playing a solo show in Tokyo while we're there. New Orleans in Japan! More details to come.

funky METERS at House of Blues during 1st weekend of JAZZFEST!!!
funky METERS will be funking up the House of Blues during the first weekend of Jazzfest 09. Both shows are going to be late night dance parties starting at 2:00am on 4/25 (that's late night Friday 4/24/Early am Saturday 4/25) and 2:00am on 4/26(that's late night Saturday 4/25/Early am Sunday 4/26). The show on 4/26 will feature Cyril Neville on percussion and vocals! Tickets will go on sale thru the funky METERS fanclub tomorrow at 10am. We've started the fanclub so we can get you tickets with lower fees. They will be on sale thru Valentine's day then you can get 'em at HOB.com

It became and amazing night of music with Bonnie Raitt and Hutch Hutchinson sitting in during "They All Ask'd For You" and "Fiyo on the Bayou". We're looking forward to many more nights with funky METERS and Cyril on vocals. The combo brings New Orleans to you wherever you may be.
